Wall Street Journal uncovers Facebook Privacy Breach

Monday October 18, 2010:  The Wall Street reported today that many of the Facebook applications have been transmitting identifying information (names, and in some cases their friends names) to dozens of advertising and internet tracking companies.  According to the report the issue affects tens of millions of Facebook users including those who set their profiles to be completely private.

It appears that the news may not be all that new, but as a Facebook user you may want to carefully consider what information you are sharing on Facebook as well as what applications you are using.
